You can find much more on internet, and we will be pleased to answer to each question about it. Just remember that Enagic is leading the way for more than 35 years, working with Hospitals in Japon since the beginning, and that KANGEN is a trademark own by Enagic.

However there are things that cannot be comparable: those things are simply not the same...

The truth about the Enagic Kangen Alkaline Water Machine

Kangen Leveluk Sd 501Recently a mudslinging type campaign, the likes of which are usually reserved for unscrupulous politicians, was unleashed by Jupiter water ionizer distributors against Enagic, Inc., a Japanese based water ionizer company that makes the Kangen Alkaline Water Machine.

While these Jupiter representatives have spent countless hours trying to discredit Enagic, very little is being said about Jupiter. After a bit of research, it was discovered that Enagic refused to degrade themselves by even responding to these fictitious and unfounded claims.

In an attempt to uncover the real truth and the real facts about these claims and the credibility of those making them, an independent investigation was conducted.

The facts and information contained in this report are verifiable and accurate and have have been compiled directly from Enagic, Inc., Dong Yang Science Co., Ltd., (the makers of Jupiter Water Ionizers), Jupiter Distributors and from 3rd party sources that have no connection or affiliation with either company. This report is the result of the investigation and represents the most pertinent findings:

Jupiter - The Company
The investigation began with extensive research into the company that makes Jupiter Alkaline Water Ionizers, Korean based Dong Yang Science Co., Ltd.

When an Internet search was conducted using the official company name, no direct website could be found, however a number of Jupiter distributor websites were located.

Each of them listed the main company as “Jupiter International Co, LTD.” When an Internet search was conducted using this name it led to a website mostly in Korean, that did not seem to have anything to do with water ionizers. A link to an English version of the website was found that led to Emco Tech Co., LTD, which was connected to another company called Royal Water.

While Emco Tech Co., LTD alludes to the fact that they are the makers of Jupiter, this could not be verified. In fact, after exhaustive research it was discovered that there are actually 10 different companies connected with the same products.

We were unable to discover why there were so many different companies, but it appears that they all promote the same basic machines under different product names.

The company names that we found are Dong Yang Science Co. Ltd., Dong Yang Bio Valley, IonPia, IonLife, Winia System, Dong Yang, Ionia, Jupiter Science, Royal Water and Emco Tech.

Very little of the information stated by Jupiter Distributors about the company could be verified.
 
The Claims:
Information was located on several Jupiter Alkaline Water distributor websites, giving a long list of what seemed to be very notable accomplishments and impressive achievements.

Unfortunately, upon further review, the majority of these claims could not be verified, which then called into question the accuracy and legitimacy of all the rest.

As mentioned earlier, the Emco Tech Co., LTD / Royal Water website was reviewed quite extensively and investigators were unable to find ANY of the many listed achievements and claims from the distributor sites documented or supported by the actual company, something the investigators found to be very strange.

If all of these notable achievements were accurate and true, why would the company not list any of them?

Investigators decided to look into a claim that could be easily verified, namely the representation of ISO 9001 & 14001 Certification, which is listed on almost every Jupiter Alkaline Water distributors website as something that Jupiter has obtained.

The investigators searched for ISO Certification directories and found a third party website that had no affiliation or connection to either company. A search was conducted on the Jupiter business name. In fact, all 10 different company names connected to Jupiter were used in the search and not one listing for any ISO Certification was found.

Investigators did find 18 listings under the company name
"Dong Yang", but none of them were the Jupiter company, simply companies with the same name.

Investigators then did a search under the Enagic business name and, ironically, got another 18 listings. This time, however, every listing was that of Enagic and all of their ISO Certification claims were correct and, more importantly, verified by an unbiased outside source.

In a stark comparison to the results of seeking corroborating information of the claims of Jupiter Distributors, when the claims of Enagic were researched, they were all documented on the actual Enagic company website and very easy to verify.

Mesh Plate Electrodes vs. Solid Plate Electrodes
The following is taken directly from the website of numerous Jupiter Alkaline Water Distributors: “…the absolute zenith of cutting-edge electrode technology. It employs the new “mesh electrode” which effectively increases surface area. When a cross section of an electrode is examined at 700 times magnification, you can see that the electrodes are now covered in a “super fine” mesh with very distinct high points and valleys.”

Investigators discovered that these “distinct points and valleys” on the 5 plates are actually clever marketing terms for holes. They also discovered that maximum alkalinization of water is achieved by running the water slowly, over the largest possible negatively and
positively charged surface area.

The surface area of the Enagic water ionizer was found to be as much as 450% larger than that of Jupiter water ionizers. In addition to producing a higher negative oxidation reduction potential reading, the larger, solid plates also increased the potency and life of both the negative ORP and the alkalinity of the water.

In an independent research study, refrigerated water produced from the 7 plated Enagic water ionizer was able to maintain a negative ORP reading of -100mV after 6 days. It was also able to maintain an increased alkaline level for over 7 days.

The negative ORP typically dissipates within 12 – 48 hours and the increased alkaline level will neutralize within 2 – 5 days, depending on the amount of surface area of the electrodes, the speed that the water is being passed over the electrodes and storage conditions. Larger electrodes and slower speed resulted in higher readings, increased potency and an extended lifespan of the water properties.

Product Warranty:
The majority of Jupiter Alkaline Water Ionizers come with a 1 – 2 year manufacturers warranty.

The Enagic Alkaline Water Ionizers come with a 5 year manufacturers warranty.

The difference :

Enagic SD501 vs KYK Harmony

One of the most common questions we're asked is about the Enagic SD501. Most shoppers seem to love it on paper right up until they reach the price tag.

Unfortunately, our hands are tied on the pricing on this machine. The company builds the MLM program into their pricing and we are unable to work around that.

A comparable product we have researched would be the KYK Harmony. This machine also has flat plates and higher wattage than other machines (2 key selling points on Enagic's SD501). Here are the main differences between the SD501 and the KYK Harmony:

Where the KYK Harmony has 5 flat plates with 135 inches of surface area, the SD501 has 7 flat plates with 245 inches of surface area.

The next most important thing to consider is the power. The KYK Harmony is a 200 watt machine and the SD501 is a 230 watt machine.

The water output of the two machines in liters per minute are 3 liters per minute for the KYK Harmony and 7 liters per minute for the SD501.

Finally, the pricing structure - The SD501 cost is $3,980 where the KYK Harmony is $1,199.

The most expensive component of any water ionizer is going to be the plates because of the cost of the platinum and titanium used. With the SD501's 2 additional plates and 110 extra inches of total plate surface area, we can easily say that a good bit of the price difference is in materials.

The SD501 is definitely a superior product with regard to its ability to produce more ionized water in a shorter period of time!

Review Enagic Leveluk SD501

The Leveluk SD501 is Enagic's top of the line water ionizer. It's tops across the board. Greatest total surface area, highest wattage, ORP outputs up to -850 and ionized water output rates as high as 7.6 liters per minute. At $3,980 it's also the most expensive water ionizer on the market today.

If you talk with anyone who owns one of these they'll tell you it was one of the best investments they've ever made. Whether this is because they want to feel good about spending as much as $2,000 more than most people who purchase a top of the line water ionizer, because they are sold on and selling Enagic's MLM opportunity or because they really love their SD501 is something you may not know unless you invest in one for yourself. Before you decide to drop a quick $4,000 on a water ionizer, let's review the facts on Enagic's Leveluk SD501.

We've already said that the SD501 has greater plate surface area, wattage and ORP outputs. The plates themselves are flat, where most other top of the line water ionizers are mesh. Mesh plates are a way of increasing total surface area, which is not an issue with this machine's 245 inches of surface area. Watershed/Goldfox comes in a distant second with 159 inches of surface area. One of the benefits of flat plates over mesh is efficient drainage and cleaning. Mesh plates have more potential for build up and can require more frequent cleaning where flat plates drain and clean smoothly and more effectively.

The SD501 also comes with a cleaning cartridge that is used every 4 - 6 months to remove any leftover sediment or particles. This helps maintain the effectiveness of the single filter. All Enagic water ionizers are single filter products. As discussed in other reviews, while dual filter systems can be more effective at filtering out particles, they are also higher in maintenance time and cost.

Along with the higher initial price tag you can expect to pay more for your Enagic replacement filters. Filter life is approximately 11,000 liters or 9 to 12 months. Standard Enagic replacement filters are $90 or you can step up to their high grade filter for $120. Replacement filters for most other single filter water ionizers run $59 - $79 with some offering higher grade filters at $89. If you were looking at a single filter water ionizer for savings on filter replacment costs, you won't get that much of a break with Enagic products.

The expected lifespan of an Enagic water ionizer is 15-20 years. Jupiter is the only other water ionizer on the market that makes the 15-20 year product life claim. All others claim product life cycles of anywhere from 8 to 15 years. Along with all the other "top scores" for the SD501 we also found that at 5 years parts & labor, it also has the longest warranty available on the market right now.

Maintenance and cost of maintenance in time and money are other issues to consider with the SD501. While it is a single filter machine, meaning only 1 filter to change every 11,000 liters, the two greatest benefits of single filter machines (cost and maintenance) are somewhat moot with the Enagic products. You'll pay more for your Enagic replacement filters than many other single filter machines, and using the cleaning cartridge every 4 - 6 months is a an additional maintenance step - similar in time and effort to replacing the 2nd filter in the dual filter machines.

All in all, if cost is not your final consideration, we believe Enagic's Leveluk SD501 is a sound investment. The higher wattage and plate surface area, highest output both in liters and negative ORP rating and the 5 year parts and labor warranty all make this truly the Cadillac of water ionizers on the market today. Your initial investment and your level of commitment to maintenance in both time and cost for a single filter machine are the only 2 tough issues for your consideration with the SD501.
